Geriatric Massage Geriatric therapeutic massage is a relaxing massage for the elderly with profound health benefits. As we age, many of us don’t get the exercise or activity needed to promote blood and lymph circulation necessary for physical and psychological health. The benefits of geriatric massage include: increased range of motion, circulation and joint mobility, relief arthritis conditions, pain and discomfort, improved posture, combat depression and overall sense of well-being. The Geriatric massage therapist takes time to consult with you about concerns, area of the body that need care, and adequate pressure, and continue to evaluate as the work progresses. Our massage sessions take place in private quiet rooms for you to undress and cover yourself. The therapist only comes in when you are lying on the bed fully covered, and only the area being worked on is uncovered at anytime during the session.
